A moment after a group of Uyghurs were deported to China, the US Embassy in Bangkok issued a security update for its residents there on Friday.

Similar deportations have previously led to vicious hostile attacks, according to the notice posted on the official site.

Most importantly, improvised incendiary devices detonated at the Erawan Shrine in Bangkok in 2015, killing 20 people and injuring 125 people because this monument is frequently visited by Chinese tourists, it added.

Prior to the release of the 40 Tamils to China, where Washington claims the Muslim minority’s people have experienced murder, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio before blasted Thailand’s response.

The Uyghurs were allegedly returned freely and that China had made sure they did not suffer.

Additionally, the Japanese Embassy in Bangkok issued a warning to foreigners and tourists from the country about a possible terrorist threat, citing the risk of an even bigger tragedy like the Erawan Shrine strike.
