Most of Greater Bangkok was blanketed by great dirt on Wednesday night, trapped in the stagnant air, and expected to persist until November 20.
The Pollution Control Department discovered at 8 a.m. that the PM2.5 rates in the majority of Greater Bangkok exceeded their healthy ranges. Over the course of 24 hours, the healthy level is set at 35 microgrammes per cubic meter of heat.
The highest amount of PM2.5 was 65.2µg/m3 on Phitsanulok Road in Pathumwan city of Bangkok.
In the capital, safe levels were reported only in Chatuchak, a part of Pathumwan ( Lumpini Park ), Phaya Thai, Prawet, Ratchathewi and Yannawa districts.
Healthy levels were present in Samut Prakan’s Muang city of Nonthaburi and Bang Sao Thong and Phra Pradaeng towns, respectively.
Somewhere, unsafe levels were detected in pieces of Ang Thong, Chachoengsao, Kanchanaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Nan, Saraburi and Sing Buri regions.
The Meteorological Department reported that sluggish air was accumulating fine dust, which was not anticipated to stop before November 20.
