In order to avoid a breach of security, the five were transported to the Johor Bahru Court Complex in individual cars.
They arrived at around 9am, according to local media, and were escorted by almost 30 police officials.
The family patriarch Radin Imran is accused of inciting terrorism by supporting the Islamic State ( IS ) ideology, as well as four other criminal offenses under Section 130G ( a ) of the Penal Code ( Act 574 ).
He faces fines and possible jail time in addition to that.
Between the end of 2014 and May 17, 2024, it was reported that he had spread IS doctrines among his household members, including the reported intruder, 21-year-old Radin Luqman.
He was even accused of supporting violence by possessing a book connected to the militant group, donating four homemade air rifles to IS activities, and swearing fidelity to Abu Bakar Al-Baghdadi, the head of IS, and supporting terrorism.
Abu Bakar Al-Baghdadi was an Iraqi radical who served as IS’s second emperor from 2014 until his dying in 2019.  ,
Radin Romyullah, 34, was accused of two crimes, including swearing allegiance to Abu Bakar Al-Baghdadi and having an external hard drive with information about IS and its actions.
In addition, the three women were accused of intentionally omitting to provide information on crimes connected to the philosophy of terrorism in one matter.
According to The Star, they allegedly committed this crime on April 17 and on May 17 at the same place, where they face a maximum sentence of seven years in prison and good.
The five defendants were not given bail, and Sessions Court Judge Che Wan Zaidi Che Wan Ibrahim had advised the victims ‘ families to hire lawyers or choose to represent themselves.
Two police officers were killed and another injured in the pre-day assault on the Ulu Tiram authorities station on May 17th.
