The” 170th Outreach Roadshow and British Fair” is being held in southern Thailand to commemorate the country’s 170th bilateral relationship.

The show, which is led by Ambassador Mark Gooding and includes agriculture and industrial advisers, aims to highlight cooperation between the two nations under the heading” Our Shared World: Environment, Wildlife, Marine, Nature, Climate, Agriculture and Sustainable Tourism.”

The show started in Phuket on Monday and continued through Krabi on Tuesday. As part of the ministry’s annual year-long event, events are planned in Surat Thani on Wednesday.

In Krabi, official staff members took part in a tree planting ceremony and visited the Southern Thailand Elephant Foundation, which receives UK-supported veterinary attention. Additionally, Mr. Gooding met with the Krabi government to examine road safety and conducted an investigation into green eco-hospitality practices.

With a roundtable snacks featuring local businesses in hospitality, crops, and sustainability, discussions will be centered on high-standard imports and UK import protocols in Surat Thani. A visit to a shrimp land may also exhibit the cooperation between Thailand and the UK in fishing and food protection.

The British Fair 2025 will take place on Wednesday from 4 pm to 8 pm at Big C Surat Thani, ending the southern show.

The next step of the show, which would focus on” Our Shared Wealth and Prosperity,” may take place in the Eastern Economic Corridor in July, according to Mr. Gooding.

This show honors our long-standing ties to Thailand, from training to innovation and sustainability. In this 170th time, we are proud to show how deep and diverse our agreement is, he said.
