Umesh Pandey and Werapong Prapha have been appointed Thai Trade Representatives by the state.

Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra signed the decree issued by the prime minister’s office on November 5 and immediately took influence.

Before becoming a politician, Mr. Pandey was the Bangkok Post‘s original writer. He previously served on the monetary policy commission of the Pheu Thai Party and was appointed vice-minister to Srettha Thavisin’s advice in the last year.

In a Twitter post on November 5, Mr. Pandey described his new position as “humiliated and delighted to be appointed to the new place now. I want to congratulate Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra and the whole case for appointing me as Thailand’s business representative.

I commit to doing everything in my power to make my nation a top investment location. I look forward to interacting with all of my emails, both as a banker and journalist, who I have worked with for nearly three decades and have since become a legislator. ”
