JOHOR BAHRU: Two motorcyclists died in an accident involving several vehicles at the Tanjung Kupang toll plaza on the Tuas Second Link on Friday morning (Dec 22).
The two victims, aged 49 and 54, collided with a lorry at about 5.50am, said Iskandar Puteri district police chief Rahmat Ariffin.
The motorcyclists were believed to be on their way to work in Singapore. They suffered serious injuries and died at the scene, said Rahmat.
The 45-year-old lorry driver was believed to have lost control of the vehicle due to brake problems, the police chief added. It also collided with a trailer and a bus ferrying 29 passengers.
