Following intense flood brought on by the flow of three significant Mekong River rivers, regulators have declared the districts of Na Thom and Sri Songkhram crisis zones.

On Friday, the Mekong River reached almost 11 feet, just one inch below flow levels. The rising lakes caused the Nam Oun, Nam Songkhram and Nam Yam rivers to flow, inundating more than 20, 000 ray (7, 907 acre ) of agricultural land in both regions.

38 villages in Sri Songkhram and 31 villages in Na Thom have been affected by flood, which has caused municipal officials to designate the two regions as disaster zones.

A team led by Kriartisak Phongphanas, the acting director of the Nakhon Phanom sea business, examined boats and passenger ships traveling between Thailand and Laos. He urged boat owners to improve health measures, make sure all vessels are equipped with safety equipment, and use caution when driving to avoid aquatic accidents.
