KANCHANABURI: A restauranteur and his partner were killed when their delivery truck struck a power pole by a side of the road with such force that the driver ejected the vehicle and wrapped the mast in its grip.
At 12.23 a.m. on Sunday, an accident occurred on Highway 324 ( Kanchanaburi-Uthong ) in the tambon Nong Khao village of Ban Huai Talung in the Tha Muang district.
Police arrived on the scene and discovered the severely damaged gold Isuzu D-Max half folded against a high-power pole. Its website was stowed about 20 meters from the listed car in this american province, which was sent through the bonnet.
Before the catastrophe, in which the two were immediately killed, there were indications of braking close to the mast for about 80 meters.
The victims were identified as Sitthipong Boonkerd, 28- yr- ancient owner of Krua Ban Ban restaurant in tambon Nong Khao, and his partner Arisa Nakpinpat, 26. Both were natives of Tha Muang city.
A witness identified only as Krishnai, who told police that the delivery truck quickly struck the highway’s pole at a small bend and hit his motorcycle.
Authorities assumed the driver lost control of the delivery after using the brakes at great speed on the bend.
