Health Minister Keizo Takemi claimed on Tuesday that the government had instructed Kobayashi Pharmaceutical to “promptly give information” on the condition.
He added that the health department has even “instructed local officials nationwide to obtain information on health damage,” and that he has offered condolences to those affected.
Authorities will consult with the business, and a state meeting will be held this week to “debate the situation and the necessity of a reply,” Takemi continued.

The manufacturer had earlier stated that the first victim had frequently purchased one of the recalled goods over the course of nearly three years.
The company stated in a speech that” we’re now aware of one instance where there may be a direct link between a dying and our product.”

Research has revealed that it is possible that the products may have contained “ingredients we had not intended to include,” the firm claims.
However, its research revealed that dark candida rice, which is toxic and has the potential to harm the kidneys, does not produce any citrinin.
In a 2019 article in the British Medical Journal, a report claims that dark candida rice is “made by fermenting steamed rice with food fungus.” It is frequently used to reduce high cholesterol as a statin medication.
Red yeast rice products with high levels of a substance known as monacolin K, which shares the same construction as medically approved lipid, have previously raised concerns.
The United States National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health claims on its site that “red bacteria grain products that contain significant amounts of monacolin K may have the same potential side effects as lipitor drugs, including muscles, kidneys, and liver damage.”
