Two dead, around 50 hospitalised in Indonesia’s South Kalimantan after suspected intoxication from Angel’s Trumpet plant

According to health authorities, two people have died and 50 others have been taken to the hospital in South Kalimantan province of Indonesia as a result of a rumored drunkenness from eating the fruit from the Angel’s Trumpet plant. &nbsp,

Those affected displayed behaviour ranging from violent bouts to hallucination, with some claiming they were&nbsp, heavenly beings, local media reported.

According to Antara media company, the people are aged between 22 and 50. They&nbsp, thunder from different places and districts in South Kalimantan including the municipal capital Banjarmasin, &nbsp, Banjarbaru, Banjar, Hulu Sungai Selatan and Barito Kuala.

The people arrived in a position of psychosis, according to Mr. Budi Harmanto, head of public relationships and details at the Sambang Lihum medical doctor in Banjar district. Some needed to be kept away because of their extreme behavior.
