Two dead after fire breaks out in Hougang flat

SINGAPORE: Two people died after a fire broke out in a Hougang flat on Thursday ( Jan 9 ), the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said.

They were discovered in a room while SCDF was battling the flames, and they were later found dead.

After being notified of the hearth at around 12.40pm, SCDF said it dispatched firefighters to Block 971, Hougang Street 91.

During the fire function, two water jets were stationed at the base of the block.

A system on the second floor was the subject of the fire. Firefighters forced entry into the product, but they had trouble entering because of the unit’s increased items, SCDF wrote in a Facebook post at around 4.30pm.

” During the rescue operation, paramedics found two individuals inside a home. An SCDF paramedic declared both victims dead at the scene.
