SONG KHLA- Police detained two employees who they claimed were hired in Malaysia to mount SIM cards discovered hidden inside a mattress frame in a condo room in Helmet Yai. They were later identified as being employed by call scammers.  ,
Authorities said Azwan al Ridwan Ching and Henry Loh Shi Xian, both Malaysian citizens, were arrested at the apartment building about , 11.40am on Sunday. The property’s name and address were withheld by officers.
The two men claimed to have received a salary of 7, 000 ringgit each for the Sunday morning pick-up of the SIM boxes from a bus connector in Hat Yai. The signal systems contained SIM cards.
Before arriving at the property to place the equipment, they also purchased SIM accounts and a network from a store in Hat Yai.
Officers found two Mobile bins the defendants had installed, concealed inside a sleep center. Such tools are used to call potential victims by fraud groups.
Police seized from them a network, a laptop computer, a CCTV cameras and local area network, and electrical wiring.
The two Malay claimed they weren’t a part of a call-scam group. They only had been hired by another Indonesian man to put the equipment in place. Additionally, he provided transportation to Hat Yai.
Following the arrest of SIM containers in Songkhla’s Sadao district in October last year and once more earlier this month, authorities made their arrests.  ,
