Two Brits arrested, one fugitive and an illegal cosmetician

Two American nationals have been detained by police for operating a plastic clinic on Koh Phangan improperly, one of whom is a fugitive from English law who worked as a prizefighter in Phuket.

Ben Ransom, 28, was taken into custody at a diner in Phuket’s Muang area on Monday.

Pol Maj Gen Montree Theskhan, captain of the Crime Suppression Division, said Mr Ransom was wanted in Britain on costs of drug trafficking. He fought in Phuket under the band brand” Billy” when he first arrived in Thailand two years ago.

Mr Ben denied all charges, but would be extradited, the captain said.

On Koh Phangan in Surat Thani state, police on Monday arrested Thomas Foley, 42, at a rented apartment for illegally operating a doctor, selling treatments, possessing unlicensed medication and working without a permit. It is alleged he fraudulently provided plastic “filler” shots

Cosmetics for about 3.5 million ringgit were seize by police.

Mr. Foley was being held indefinitely pending further constitutional actions.
