Two 14-year-olds nabbed in Yishun for suspected drug offences involving crystal meth

SINGAPORE: As part of a 12-day islandwide battle by the Central Narcotics Bureau that ended on Friday( Oct 20 ), two 14-year-old boys were detained for suspected drug offenses involving crystal meth or frost.

Police detained the second 14-year-old in a home near Yishun Street 51 in the evening of October 8 after acting on information. According to a CNB media release from Saturday, about 1g of glaciers and other substance accoutrements were taken.

That evening, a follow-up operation & nbsp by CNB officers resulted in the arrest of the second 14-year-old and his brother, 22 years old, in their home close to Canberra Street. These, on 17g of snow was discovered.

The trio was one of 134 suspected drug offenders detained over the course of the nearly two-week drug bust, which brought in a total of two bottles of GHB ( gamma-hydroxybutyrate ) and about 10kg of cannabis, 1 kg of heroin, 600g of new psychoactive substances, 373g, 103 ecstasy tablets, and 111 erimin – 5 tablets.

They were worth about S$ 600,000 on the street, according to estimates.
