HONG KONG: Police and fire services said after sending dozens of personnel to the scene, twelve people were rescued from a roller coaster in Hong Kong’s Disneyland after the ride stopped working on Wednesday afternoon ( Feb 7 ).

After the Disney ride Hyperspace Mountain stopped working at 3.16 p.m. ( 0716 GMT ), police and fire services were called for help. According to a policeman representative, there have been no reported accidents and no smoke or flames at the scene.

By 4:16 p.m., the passengers had been taken off the journey, according to a fire services representative. He claimed that Disneyland, which is close to Hong Kong’s international airports, had received a deployment of about 40 firefighters.

Requests for comment were not promptly answered by Disney.

On Disney’s site, the Hyperspace Mountain journey is compared to rocketing into a Star Wars conflict. Large drops and being plunged into darkness are important characteristics.

According to a site notice, it was scheduled to close from February 26 through March 1 of this year for daily maintenance and evaluation.
