Tribal candidate Droupadi Murmu wins Indian presidential election: Partial results

NEW DELHI:   A woman from India’s tribal minority, Droupadi Murmu, was chosen as the country’s leader on  Thursday (Jul 21) with the backing of the ruling celebration, making her the first person from the group community to take up the top post.
