
All nine staff were rescued when their fishing boat sank after colliding with an ocean liner in the Gulf of Thailand off the southern beach in the early days of Sunday night.
The Thai Maritime Enforcement Command Centre was advised by the owner of the boat Auf Sapchanon that the vehicle was in difficulties, an , informed resource said.  ,
The landlord said a staff member contacted him via satellite telephone about 2am and said the boat had collided with a huge pasenger ship and was about to fall.
The crewman said the ship was in the Gulf of Thailand, 70-80 coastal miles off the Songkhla-Nakhon Si Thammarat beach.
There were nine crew on board- three Thais, three Thai and three Myanma- including the skipper, Theerawat Thaomoi.
VAdm Nares Wongtrakul, captain of the 2nd Naval Area, ordered an instant lookup function.
About 10am on Sunday, a military helicoper plucked all nine staff carefully from the water. They were being taken to the marine center in Songkhla.
The fishing boat had left its home harbor in Songkhla on Saturday. It sank after the incident. The sea coat was no named, nor was it known if the , fleet was damaged or the team yet aware of the incident.  ,
