Those carrying over S$ 20,000 of pleasant negotiable instruments – quite as traveller’s payments, money orders and telegraph orders– will also have to consider them.

Now, guests are required to post their declarations in hard version. This may end on May 13.

We will move these declarations online in order to simplify and make them simpler, according to a news release from the Singapore Police Force ( SPF ) on Friday ( April 19 ).

The statements help Singapore’s efforts to combat legal action such as money laundering, said the policeman, adding that for specifications are common in many countries.

Travelers who do n’t declare the cash and bearable negotiable instruments in full and accurate detail may face jail time for up to three years, a fine of up to S$ 50,000, or both.
