NAKHON NAYOK: A baby wild elephant that will fell into a cement drain at a golf course was lifted properly out by wildlife officials under the watchful eye of it stressed mother on Wed.
The youngster fell through the drain opening at the Royal Hills Golf Course in Nakhon Nayok’s Muang area, and became trapped.
Its plight was reported to Protected Locations Regional Office one in nearby Prachin Buri province.
Veterinarian Chananya Kanchanasakha and some other wildlife officials rushed to the rescue on Wed morning.
They found a baby wild elephant, actual age unidentified, trapped in the drain below the narrow concrete opening. The particular calf’s mother had been pacing anxiously on the mouth of the starting, unable to help it out there.
With the help of a motorised hoist from the Sarika tambon administration organisation and also a backhoe from the golf course groundsmen, the particular wildlife officials was able to lift the baby elephant out of the hole regarding 8. 30am.
