Transsexual arrested for serial swindling of Japanese men in Bangkok

The latest in a ten years of related crimes against typically Japanese men, involving a 48-year-old transsexual man, adds up to about 26 million ringgit.

According to officers options, a 36-year-old Asian male reported making a forgery issue after his arrest, Uthai Nanthakhan aka Amy. At the Thong Lor police depot, he lodged the problem.

The target claimed to have met Uthai in January. The think then informed him that she was visiting Hong Kong. She duped him into paying for her after the couple had previously met.

According to police, the suspect frequently told victims, who were mostly Asian men, that she had lost both her budget and passport while traveling and needed to borrow money to pay for expenses like insurance and medication.

The suspect’s scam history dated back to 2011, with 73 patients tricked out of about 26 million baht immediately. Three victims reported losing about 4 million baht to the authorities this time.

The suspect was released in 2018 after serving a similar-crime sentence in 2015.
