The national parks and wildlife captain has made plans for rhinoceros training facilities to train aggressive wild animals who carry out the rising number of attacks on individuals.

Director-general Attapon Charoenchansa made a speech on National Elephant Day on Wednesday.

He said there were between 4, 013 and 4, 422 exotic animals in 16 forest structures in Thailand and they posed major problems, unlike domesticated animals.

” Wild animals must have appropriate and healthy living conditions, particularly those in trees bordering areas, and people are increasingly being affected”, he said.

Because they attacked and destroyed plants, people detested exotic animals. Since 2015 exotic animals had killed 210 persons, Mr Attapon said.

The Department of National Parks, Wildlife, and Plant Conservation was attempting to resolve the issue. To stop exotic animals from approaching people communities, it was deploying 200 groups. &nbsp,

Additionally, according to him, the department intended to construct facilities to house and train intense wild elephants, which would be released when they learned to coexist peacefully with people.

One of the training facilities would be in Khao Ang Ruenai Wildlife Sanctuary, which extends over adjoining trees in Chachoengsao, Chon Buri, Prachin Buri, Rayong and Sa Kaeo regions.

According to the national parks and wildlife captain, Salakpra Wildlife Sanctuary in Kanchanaburi state, Kui Buri National Park in Prachuap Khiri Khan, Phuluang Wildlife Sanctuary in Loei, Surat Thani Wildlife Sanctuary, Khlong Saeng Wildlife Sanctuary, and Dong Yai Wildlife Sanctuary in Buri Ram are other locations.
