Rescue personnel were attempting to reach three people trapped inside a high-speed railroad hole in the Pak Chong area last night when it collapsed during construction.

At 11.30 p.m. on Saturday, the pipe collapsed in the tambon Chan Thuek while two workers were utilizing a shovel and a vehicle to dig the tunnel. The next person in the hole was a director who had just arrived in a vehicle. At the time of the decline, there was no weather.

Afterwards, authorities said two of the three missing were Taiwanese. One served as the director, and the other, as the bulldozer driver. A truck driver from Myanmar was the other man who was missing.

About four kilometers from the tunnel’s entry was the area that fell. Employing tractors, rescue workers were able to achieve those trapped.

In a hole wall-constructing area, it was discovered that the section that collapsed may be 10 to 30 meters long.

The state is building a 251 kilometre-long part of the Sino-Thai high-speed road connection between Bangkok and Nakhon Ratchasima. In 2028, the part is anticipated to be finished.

The Muak Lek-Lam Takhong pipe was constructed to span about eight kilometers. The hole was constructed under the direction of Nawarat Patanakarn Plc. It was 74 % completed.
