In Nakhon Ratchasima, angry local people are expressing their opposition to a banner battle that compares them to delicious food. The well-known dating app Uber has found a match in the popular dating game.

One of the posters is located on a tower in the centre of Muang city, less than 500 feet away from the monument of Thao Suranari, a native lady.

The billboards display text in Thai that hail” Nakhon Ratchasima’s Tasty Treats”, with a choice of phad mi Korat ( a famous local noodle dish ) and phu sao Korat ( Korat girls ). The first has a dark search tag, while the second has a green test mark.

According to Chanyanut Surachat, the head of the Korat Women’s Rights Protection party, comparing women and men is rude.

Local people, according to Ms. Chanyanut, are glad of their ancestry as the ancestors of Thao Suranari, also known as Lady Mo.

” Women should be treated with respect, not only in this state but also in other areas”, she said.

Prom Noktajan, a local folk music actor, said that using the term “tasty” to identify native women is unacceptable, as it has a hint of physical idea.
