Security video uncovers man wearing the same clothes breaking into Chon Buri business
A man showing off bundles associated with banknotes on TikTok and telling viewers he got the cash from his own effort turned out to be a robber, police say.
When Chon Buri police frequented the home of the guy in question in tambon Bang Sai within Muang district, these people found 220, 500 baht in banknotes, cheques worth 32 million baht and the clothes the believe wore during the break-in at a local company. Arrested was Surasak Thakenglarp, 29, a native of Surin.
In the video posted simply by @Joker764, a man can be shown with packages of banknotes both in hands, telling viewers that he got upward early to earn money to pay off debts.
Most of the stolen money was recovered as the suspect informed officers he had only spent 150 baht to buy food, stated Pol Maj Gen Atthasit Kijjaharn, key of Chon Buri police.
He said law enforcement had been following upward a complaint that a thief had stolen a safe containing money and other items at the office of Kiattithayakorn Metal Co within Muang district on the night of Aug eleven. Security video had captured the robber in action.
Police subsequently found a TikTok movie of a man showing off banknotes and putting on the same clothes such as the security video. Then they tracked him to his room.
