In two assaults on Koh Phangan, authorities have detained three people, including a Russian, a Myanmar, and a Thai, for selling illegal e-cigarettes and baraku.
The arrests came as part of a wider crackdown on illegal items that had begun time before Thursday’s Full Moon group.  ,  ,
In the tambon Koh Phangan village of Moo 1 on Saturday, authorities and operational officials seize 60 boxes of baraku tobacco, nine electronic cigarettes, and nine baraku smoking devices.
According to Pol Lt Col Charoenchai Boon-kliang of the Investigation Sub-Division of Surat Thani Provincial Police, an investigation revealed that the store was a big seller of these prohibited goods to visitors on the island.
The group arrested the factory caregiver – identified as Sofia Gaifullina, a 27-year-old Russian – and her Myanmar staff, Sandar Win, 41.  ,
Ms. Gaifullina was accused of colluding to promote prohibited or nontaxable goods while working without a permit. Miss Win was accused of operating without a force.  ,
After discovering 33 e-cigarettes in a separate assault on a used clothing store in the same area, authorities apprehended a 55-year-old Thai woman.
