THEOS-2 launched into orbit

The Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency( Gistda ) announced on Monday morning that THEOS-2, Thailand’s second earth observation satellite, had successfully entered orbit from the French Guiana Space Center.

The launch took place at 8.36 am in Thailand( 10.36 pm on Sunday in French Guiana ).

TheOS-1, also known as Thaichote, was introduced on October 1, 2008, and is now in its final stages. THEOS-2 takes its place.
