On the roads, it could be considered graffiti, in a customized show, it’s art. In December, Banksy, a street performer known for making strong cultural statements all over the world, will debut in Singapore with The Art of Banksy: Without Limits.
Spanning 1, 200 square feet on the first floor of the Royal Plaza on Scotts resort, over 170 pieces will be on screen, including authentic artworks, prints, sculptures, murals and interactive videos installations. From some of Banksy’s most well-known items like Flower Thrower to larger-than-life paintings, it’s an opportunity to view Banksy’s artwork without a trip to an alley in London or New York.
Curated especially for Singapore, the exhibition’s entrance may have a Walled Off Hotel type hall, a smile to the 2017 shops resort exhibition of the same title in Bethlehem in Palestine’s West Bank, known for having” the worst view of any hotel in the world”.
