Women’s Party calls for change and end of social dominance
When supporters turn out for the provincial administration organization ( PAO ) and council members on Saturday, former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra has made his final pleas for them to convert their admiration for him into votes.
In the last countdown to the election, the Pheu Thai Party’s leader returned to the stage in his home state on Thursday to plan for party candidate and current Hua leader Pichai Lertpongadisorn.
Thaksin, the 75-year-old parents of Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, expressed his desire that citizens who want to “use my services” and support the government had cast their ballots for the Pheu Thai member.
” Give me only 700, 000 seats”, he said at a rally site behind the provincial house in Muang area. ” This make it decisive without fear”.
Mr Pichai is defending the status amid difficulties from Women’s Party rival Pun-Arj Chairatana, while another separate candidate, Maj Gen Phanom Sripheud, is considered an observer.
Additionally, 42 seats for PAO committee members are in question, and Thaksin urged voters to assist Pheu Thai.
Chiang Mai is Thaksin’s house territory, but Pheu Thai was stunned in the last general election in 2023 when the Women’s Party’s father, Move Forward, won seven out of ten tickets, leaving Pheu Thai with two and one for the Palang Pracharath Party.
Thaksin vowed to use the poll’s outcome to bolster Pheu Thai’s chances of winning the following general election in 2027.
” Last time, your hesitation gave the orange ( party ) a chance to win seven seats. We did take them back second day, but let’s start with the PAO poll”, said the businessman past top. Orange is the unique coloring of the opposition Women’s Party.

Somebody has access to Chiang Mai Province.
Mr Pun-Arj and his politicians focused on internal regions, including Mae Rim and Muang, on Friday, calling for change from citizens, promising a better business and improved existing conditions for residents in the northern territory.
Former executive director of the National Innovation Agency ( NIA ), Mr. Pun-Arj, pleaded with the candidates to use the election to demonstrate to those in power that Chiang Mai belongs to everyone, not just to anyone.
Mr. Pun-Arj and the People’s Party are convinced that Pheu Thai will have the chance to overthrow their provincial government, mainly thanks to younger voters and urbanites, who have been largely instrumental in the city’s continued political decline.
Previous Move Forward head Pita Limjaroenrat said in a Facebook post of Mr. Pun-Arj on Friday that” He is the solution to change for Chiang Mai.”
On Saturday, in Chiang Mai, there will be PAO elections for president and council members in one of 76 regions. A whiskey restrictions will be in effect for 24 hours starting at 6pm on Friday.
