In the case of convicted former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, who has served nearly five times of his word outside of captivity, students and the Women’s Network for Thailand Reform (STR ) may assemble at Government House on Friday to urge the government to uphold administrative requirements.

On Wednesday, STR head Pichit Chaimongkol posted about the demonstration on the team’s Facebook page at the Chamai Maru Chet Bridge close to Government House.

Everyone is looking at the state to see if it is treating Thaksin better.

After 15 times of self-imposed captivity, he returned to Thailand on August 22 of last year and was given an eight-year prison term.

Thaksin was sent to Bangkok Remand Prison as soon as he arrived. However, the Department of Corrections ( DoC ) moved him to the Police General Hospital the same day for health reasons. Since then, he has stayed it.

On December 22, the 120-day window during which Thaksin was legally allowed to receive care outside of captivity expired, but the DoC permitted him to stay in the hospital.

According to Mr. Pichit, the meeting is not cultivating discord but rather bringing people together to fight corruption.

He claimed that the government might be using legal loopholes to help potential wrongdoers, such as Yingluck Shinawatra, Thaksin’s girl and a former prime minister who is still on the run.

He claimed that corruption and discord issues, not the movements of the people, are what are causing the noise in politics.

” If the government helps those crime, it may weaken the Thai righteousness structure and damage the reputation of the nation.”

Additionally, Mr. Pichit stated that the opposition Move Forward Party ( MFP ) was not the intended beneficiary of this protest.
