Bangkok’s attorney-general announced on Wednesday ( Apr. 10 ) that a hearing with influential former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra regarding whether to charge him with royal insults will be postponed.
According to Winyat Chartmontri, the attorney-general is also looking into the case, according to Chartmontri. Prosecutors will provide details on the scheduled hearing day after in the day.
Political powerhouse Thaksin, who was released from detention in February after returning from 15 years of self-imposed exile in 2023, has consistently pledged his devotion to the king, accusations that are punished by Thai law.
