The Thailand Consumers Council (TCC ) calls for schools all over the country to address the issue and says there is cause for concern about safety on school buses.
On April 23, Saree Aongsomwang, secretary-general of the TCC, met with Education Minister Pol Gen Permpoon Chidchob to ask for assistance in consumer protection to improve the school vehicle system.
The decision was brought on by the rising number of road fatalities involving school cars in recent years, which negatively impacted individuals ‘ fundamental health right.
Ms. Saree claimed that the TCC urged the minister to make school bus control one of its major goals. Regular assessments should be conducted, and those who do n’t adhere to the regulations should be punished.
The TCC urged the government to develop recommendations for colleges, personnel, parents, and express agencies as well as promote learning centers for bus safety.
A common transportation advancement plan is being developed by the TCC and the Thai Health Promotion Foundation. In 20 institutions global, learning centers and control of school vehicle safety are expected to be piloted.
Pol Gen Permpoon agreed, saying class cars may be officially registered.
Originally, the TCC proposed a document school bus health plan to the Ombudsman, which was afterwards submitted to cupboard.
