The Ministry of Tourism and Sports and the Ministry of Culture are working with Thai Beverage ( ThaiBev ) to organize the Water Festival 2025 from April 12 to April 15.
The festival’s chairman, Suraphon Svetasreni, stated that the event intends to increase tourism and make more than 10 million baht in revenue.
It will turn out to be a site festival that promotes Thai cultural tourism. According to Mr. Suraphon, it will be conducted with the goal of maintaining a sustainable future and also raising awareness of the Kingdom globally.  ,
Visitors will be able to enjoy a variety of festivities in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Lamphun, Phuket, Udon Thani, and Khon Kaen as part of the” Maha Songkran, Maha Sanook ( The Grand Songkran, The Grand Fun),” according to Mr. Suraphon.
The events may be held in Bangkok along with famous tourist attractions like Wat Pho, Wat Arun, Asiatique the Riverfront, Tha Maharaj, Iconsiam, and Khlong Ong Ang. Chinatown in the Yaowarat region is one of the other host locations.
The main features include kayaking in Khlong Padung Krung Kasem, a bicycle journey around Bangkok, and a liquid festival of Buddha statues from five royal churches.
According to Vice Minister of Tourism and Sports Jakkaphon Tangsutthitham, the Songkran activities will raise the nation’s gentle authority and go along with the” Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Time 2025″ tourism strategy.
According to Mr. Jakkaphon, this year’s event is expected to be the biggest and most complex to time, with at least 50 billion baht being anticipated to be distributed throughout the country, twice the amount from last year, Mr. Jakkaphon continued.
