Thais are advised to keep the fight zone following a rocket attack close to the Lebanon border.
The Kibbutz Yir’on Agricultural Estate in northwestern Israel, close to the Lebanon boundary, was hit by an anti-tank rocket on Friday night, killing one Thai contractor and injuring one other, according to the Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv.
Any Thais who are still present in the Upper Galilee or other dangerous areas should contact the embassy for departure, according to a Facebook post. The area is a military zone.
Since Hezbollah, a militant group supported by Iran, started conducting cross-border attacks from Lebanon in support of its Arab alliance Hamas following the October 7, 2023 harm. More civilian deaths have been reported in the last quarter as a result of the battle on both sides of the border.
