Thai woman linked to 14 cyanide murders sentenced to death

In the first of her 14 murder trials, a Thai woman who is regarded as one of the worst serial killers in the country’s history was found guilty and given the death penalty on Wednesday ( Nov 20 ).

Sararat Rangsiwuthaporn, 36, an online gaming addiction, is accused of swindling thousands of dollars from her subjects before killing them with the pesticide.

She was found guilty on Wednesday in Bangkok after she mortally poisoned her companion Siriporn Kanwong.

In a Buddhist tradition, the two met up near Bangkok in April of last year to release fish into the Mae Klong valley.

Investigators discovered traces of poison in Siriporn’s body soon after she fell and passed away.

According to the officers, Sararat was subsequently linked to earlier unsolved cyanide poisonings dating back as far back as 2015, according to the officers.

” The judge’s decision is just”, Siriporn’s family, Tongpin Kiatchanasiri, told investigators following the ruling.

” I want to let my daughter know that justice has been done for her today and that I miss her dearly.”
