More than 130 of the subjects taught in Thai institutes have been ranked according to the 2024 QS World University Rankings, an improvement from 110 content next year.
Supamas Isarabhakdi, the minister of higher education, research, research, and creativity, announced yesterday that Quacquarelli Symonds ( QS), a London-based organization that rates institutions worldwide, has released the QS World University Rankings by Subject, which includes 134 disciplines taught in numerous Thai institutions.
The amount is more than the 110 content included in next week’s ranks, with one of the highest-ranked organizations for this year being Kasetsart University, which was ranked 62nd in the field of Agriculture & Forestry, according to Ms Supamas.
She claimed that several other Thai institutions are among the top 100 in a number of fields.
They include Chulalongkorn University, which is ranked among the top 100 in the areas of Mineral & Mining Engineering, Performing Arts, Petroleum Engineering, Dentistry and Development Studies, and Mahidol University, which is in the best 100 for Development Studies, said Ms Supamas.
As you can see, Indian college subjects have risen globally in the world rankings. For instance, 39 Chulalongkorn University content ranked in 2023 increased to 43 content in 2024, Mahidol University’s 18 content in 2023 rose to 22 in 2024, while Chiang Mai University’s 12 content rose to 19 and Kasetsart University went from nine in 2023 to 13 in 2024,” she said.
The QS World University Rankings by Subject are based on factors like conservation, work, and worldwide research partnerships, which reflect the caliber of Thai institutions ‘ academic standing and intellectual standing on the global level, according to Ms Supamas.
She claimed that Thai institutions are constantly improving because of the rise in the number of themes being ranked.
