In Maha Sarakham, the northeastern province of Maha Sarakham, on Friday, Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra officially inaugurated the government’s new One District, One Scholarship ( ODOS ) initiative and community development initiatives.

She claimed that the fellowship program would expand educational opportunities for top students from low-income families all over the country.

According to her, the program will cover 878 regions and 50 Bangkok towns, along with opportunities for education abroad.

Ms. Paetongtarn urged local people to begin identifying the needs of their areas and creating development plans, claiming that the new SML ( small, medium, and large ) community and neighborhood development program would assist them in meeting those needs.

The government’s plans on scholarship and community development are crucial, according to the prime minister.

The award program aims to reduce educational disparities while enabling recipients to gain and help their communities develop.

The SML community and neighborhood development program places a premium on boosting group self-reliance.

The prime minister also confirmed that the next round of 10, 000-baht cash handouts may be distributed to the old before the Chinese New Year, which will be observed on January 29.

Earlier, Deputy Finance Minister Julapun Amornvivat announced that consumers may be identified the following quarter, with payments anticipated by the end of January.

About 3.2 million people were immediately eligible to receive the one-time pay. If the government approves it, the record of recipients may be announced on the president’s Tang Rath program.

Ms. Paetongtarn even made a visit to the Kosum Phisai district’s Huai Nam Khem Floodgate, where she outlined plans to address the drought- and flood-related issues and increase waters control in the Chi River Basin.

The top inaugurated the Wapi long-drum meeting, which marked the 142nd year of the custom in Maha Sarakham’s Wapi Pathum city, and presided over the hospitality and lifestyle campaign in the Northeast.

Before departing to Maha Sarakham, Ms. Paetongtarn was met by thousands of Pheu Thai Party followers in Khon Kaen.

Pannawade Tantisirin, a former red-shirt head, praised the government for honouring its claims of support through various projects, including the 10, 000-baht money handbook and financial aid for farmers.
