Thai PM Prayut lags rivals in opinion polls ahead of May election

When asked who they preferred to be the next prime minister, 29.42 percent of respondents said they supported Pita, followed by Paetongtarn with 23.23 percent, and Prayuth with 13.72 percent.

However, a combined 40 % of respondents supported Paetongtarn and her party’s’s other two candidates for prime minister, well-known real estate magnate Sretta Thavisin and party stalwart Chaikasem Nitisiri.

The Pheu Thai Party received 160 out of 500 political chairs, followed by the Bhumjaithai party, led by Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, with 121, according to a standalone Super Poll study.

Prayut’s’s event had 43 votes and was in second place.
