Srettha Thavisin, the prime minister of Thailand, welcomed an unusual visitor to his office on Wednesday ( Mar 20 ), an enormous white buffalo that had recently sold for US$ 500,000.
The large cattle, known as the Ko Muang Phet, was a superstar creature in Thai gardening before making a comeback last month with its big-ticket sale and earned a trip to Government House to meet Srettha.
The four-year-old albino from northern Phetchaburi province weighs 1.4 tonnes, nearly three times more than the regular buffalo, at 1.8 meters.
Ko Muang Phet has already become a small TV star, and he appears in a segment of the wildly acclaimed Audio From The Field Of Love lotion theater.
Srettha, who is no short at 1.92m, went head to head with the winged brand in front of Government House.
” I had no thought we had such lovely buffalo”, Srettha told gathered writers, gently patting one of the creature’s large arched ears.
