BANGKOK: Following the country’s general election in May, Thai King Maha Vajiralongkorn requested of parliamentarians andnbsp on Monday( Jul3 ) that they carry out their duties with the interests of the people and the nation at heart.
Together with Queen Suthida, the king presided over the service at the parliament building. & nbsp,
Prayut Chan-o-cha, the interim prime minister, and members of his cabinet were also present, along with lawmakers ( MPs ), presidents of the Senate, Supreme Court, Administrative and Constitutional Courts, as well as representatives from various organizations.
The king pleaded with everyone in this legislature to always keep in mind that you have been chosen by the people to represent them across the nation in the exercise of parliamentary authority, including the ability to make laws that the government will use as a guide for public administration.
So, how much the nation did advance depends on your intelligence, ability, honesty, and sincerity in carrying out all responsibilities while giving the best interests of the country and its citizens the utmost consideration.
The king continued,” If all of you always keep this in mind, you will be able to carry out your responsibilities properly, which will certainly profit and give growth and stability for the people as well as the nation.”
