Thai job hunters arrested for illegally entering Malaysia

38 Thai people who illegally crossed the border were being taken to work as promised to them by work agents they paid.

They had been brought across the border from Thailand’s Narathiwat to a border community in Malaysia’s neighboring Kelantan position.

22 Thai people and 16 people were apprehended in seven trucks intercepted near Rantau Panjang on Sunday night, according to Kelantan Immigration assistant director Nik Akhtarulhaq Nik Abdul Rahman, according to Bernama news organization.

The 38 had intended to work improperly in Malaysia, he said. All were interrogated at the Kelantan Immigration Complex. &nbsp,

According to him,” The Immigration Department urges every company to hire foreigners who have valid passports.” The public is urged to come forth and share information about refugees or any foreigners ‘ illegal activities.

Rantau Panjang is same Sungai Kolok region in Narathiwat, where the Kolok River marks the border.
