Thai celebrity chef arrested for alleged B2m fraud

A famous pasta store franchise owner in Thailand has been detained for allegedly defrauding of about 2 million baht of gold and diamond jewelry. &nbsp,

The believe was identified as Yuwadee Chaisiripanich, 54, but is also known as Chef Aoi.

Authorities said on Tuesday that she had been detained in Bangkok while operating a booth selling her foods in a Prawet area shopping mall. &nbsp,

She was detained after making a complaint to Bang Bon station’s crime authorities. The claimant’s name was never revealed. &nbsp,

The target contacted Chef Aoi to ask about purchasing her brand for a restaurant because she allegedly liked her. After talking for a while, they became nearer, the plaintiff said.

The victim supposedly told Chef Aoi that in order to raise money for the company, they would need to buy their gold and diamond jewelry and amulets, which are for about 2 million ringgit in total.

Chef Aoi had made an offer to represent the price. Because she had appeared on Best Chef and Iron Chef in Thailand, the victim had faith in her.

Several weeks later, the prey found out the restaurant had used those&nbsp, valuables to keep her own meal company running, authorities were told. &nbsp,

According to police, Chef Aoi admitted to the crime. She said she did buy the jewels, to a TV manufacturer, but had not yet received the money. She had first given the sufferer 500, 000 ringgit from her own wallet, she said. &nbsp,
