Not exactly the keep-him-on-your-lap-during-a-Zoom dog.
No, he might take up the whole frame.
Chris Evans announced his partnership with dog food company Jinx on Wednesday.

I’m a passionate canine mom myself, so I wanted to ask a little bit about your journey as a canine dad, and what motivated you to get involved with a business like this.
I mean, we’re always looking for various partnerships and ways to expand and have fun creatively beyond performing. I had actually already been giving Dodger the Jinx treats for a while, and he loved all of them, and then my company manager brought me this opportunity. Whenever you actually sit down with all the company, you get to understand the people, it’s therefore nice to meet people who have a shared passion and who kind of seem like they’re really doing something good in the world and actually helping. Then on top of it, it’s a great product. It’s an easy matter to get behind. This just made perfect sense to me.
What’s fascinated me since getting our dog a bit more than a year back was the incredible obligation I feel for her well-being and health and exactly how her being OK directly affects my mood, too. Show me about your own experience as a pet parent.
I mean, it’s among the trickiest things. My previous dog just before Dodger had a great deal of issues. He had been an American Bulldog, so there was a lot of allergy issues and eyesight issues. And, you understand, they can’t tell you exactly how they’re feeling, which is the most difficult matter. So making sure that you will absolutely at least starting with the building blocks of good nutrition is a good first step. Is actually incredibly important.
Your love for Joker is very well known. What has that relationship taught you about yourself? I you do not have kids and, so far as I know, you don’t have kids either. But it shows you a lot about what it means to care for an additional being.
After all, it’s the responsibility from it, you know what I mean? It’s actual that you always have to be conscious of (the fact that) you’re developing your life around that will. Whether you’re going to be out for a while, or if you have lengthy meetings, you always have to carve out time to go on walks, things like that. So , that is a challenge. It’s an uphill battle, yet I’ve always really enjoyed that. You know, it takes my thoughts off of me.
Would you take Dodger together with you when you travel or when you’re filming?
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Dodger’s been on several movie sets and, he loves becoming on set. He’s a real social butterfly and everyone on set loves your pet. He’s good; he is a great mascot.
You aren’t gonna have to give me some tips mainly because my dog is not good around some other dogs. She’s great with people, but various other dogs? N o way.
You actually go to the dog park?
No, because she would battle dogs that are like 10 times her size. She is nine pounds yet has a big mindset.
Sure, sure.
Have you always been like a large dog kind of man?
I mean, I like many dogs — really, truly. Big, little, anything in between. I’ve never really said We only want bosses. I mean, I would not be surprised basically end up with a really small one after Dodger just because there’s a lot more ease of traveling with these. But , no, I think some of the smaller canines have some of the best personas.
What do you think will be special about Dodger specifically? People have this type of love for your relationship. What’s special about him to you in comparison to some other pets you could have had?
There’s just something about your pet that feels like he is just brand new, just like a brand new soul. There exists something about him — it’s very fresh new and vibrant plus alive and adoring and joyful and clean. And, I am talking about, both metaphorically plus physically. He’s an extremely clean animal. But he’s just, We don’t know. There’s simply something very brilliant about him, you understand? His eyes are usually wide open. His heart’s wide open. He’s only a really sweet beast.
I s n’t it astounding? How when you’re in the bad way, and you simply see the world by means of their eyes suddenly? How much of a change it out can be on your day at any given time?
After all, it’s an incredibly refreshing reset. I mean, Dodger, I would argue is a relatively famous canine, and he has no concept and he has no idea and he never can know. What a wonderful way to move through the entire world. What a clean method to move through the world. I am talking about, I’ve seen buddies who have kind of come up in fame and change and, you know, you even have to keep tabs on yourself in that capacity to make sure that your priorities are in check, but Dodger never needs to. It’s not the makeup of a dog. Now i am in awe associated with what a dog can be. I’m very humbled by what they offer us. The fact that it really can’t be corrupted. You know what I am talking about? There’s no part of myself that has to worry that will any of this is going to go to Dodger’s mind. What an amazing issue.
