Lai, who served as Taiwan’s evil- leader for the last four years, may be taking over from Tsai Ing- ming, who restore the planet’s relationship with China during her eight years in power.
He is expected to support her plans, but he also faces difficulties from his own, such as an increasingly hostile China and high living costs.
Former US officials who have been dispatched by President Joe Biden, legislators from nations like Japan, Germany, and China, as well as leaders from a select few of the nations that still maintain formal diplomatic relations with Taiwan will be present at today’s service.
Lai’s success in January marked Taiwan’s Democratic Progressive Party’s fourth consecutive presidential term.
