SINGAPORE: Ride-hailing company TADA will modify its platform charges from Aug 17 in a move to better support the business.
The company will also implement several endeavours for its drivers on the next few months, which includes shortening the waiting time for drivers to cash out their particular earnings.
From next week, passengers will be charged S$0. 55 for trip costs below S$18, whilst S$0. 75 is going to be added to rides above S$18 before GST, said TADA in a media release upon Wednesday (Aug 10).
This is upward from the current fee of S$0. 30 and S$0. 50 for rides below S$18 and over S$18 respectively.
“For transparency, the woking platform fee will be shown distinctly as an individual line item to the rider’s receipt on completion of their booking, ” said TADA.
The ride-hailing company added that platform fees is going to be waived from motorists for rides S$7 and below. Nevertheless , the new fees will certainly apply to drivers pertaining to fares above S$7, TADA said according to CNA’s queries.
TADA also stated that it had involved drivers and riders on the platform charges via a public appointment over email.
To ease riders to the platform fee revision, TADA will offer S$1 vouchers with the promo code “LETSTADA”, legitimate from Aug 17 to Sep eleven.
Passengers may also look forward to more safety measures and updates for example location sharing and higher accuracy in pick-up point choice, said TADA.
