A priest who was stabbed at a church in Sydney on Monday has said he is “recovering fast” and forgives his alleged intruder.
Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel also pleaded with the audience to stay calm in an music information.
Four people were hurt in the attack, according to authorities, and it was allegedly a morally motivated terrorist act.
There were irritated followers of the priest gathering outside The Good Shepherd Church.
A 16-year-old child- who was also injured- has been arrested over the affair, but has not been charged with any crime. The boy’s feared ideas have been repeatedly denied by authorities.
Authorities were looking into movies that allegedly showed the suspect yelling in Arabic and making references to” the Prophet,” according to Australian Security Intelligence Organization CEO Mike Burgess earlier this year.
In Bishop Emmanuel’s four-minute picture, released by the chapel on social media on Thursday, he says he forgives “whoever has done this act”.

The priest is “lucky to become dead” after the stabbing, which took place while he was attending density at the Assyrian Orthodox Church, which is about 35 kilometers south-west of the city center.
On Monday evening, when revealing images of the strike and its aftermath quickly surfaced online, hundreds of people gathered at church to watch them. That, violent unrest left two police officers injured, 10 police vehicles destroyed, and ambulances fearing for their health.
