A boat shaft struck a 17-year-old Russian visitor while she was swimming outside the designated region at Patong seaside on Saturday, injuring her leg.

After being called at around 10.30am on Saturday, officers and liberate workers rushed to the shore near the Sea Pearl group on Thaweewong Road.
