In a pending cabinet reshuffle, defense secretary Sutin Klungsang has refrained from rumor that he will lose his government positions, saying he could live with any outcome.

His only repent may be that he should have been given more time to demonstrate that a citizen could also make a great and respectable defence minister, according to Mr. Sutin on Friday.

In response to rumors that Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin may appoint Mr. Sutin to be the defense secretary in the upcoming government transition, Mr. Sutin compared Mr. Srettha to the athletics captain who makes the replacements for a team whose entire squad has the same ultimate objective of winning the game.

” I have no problem with that, and I firmly believe he would do well [as defence minister ] because we all follow the exact state guidelines,” he said.

He had hardly spoken with him about the situation.

Mr. Sutin disproved rumors that former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, who is regarded as the de facto ruler of the decision Pheu Thai, refused to accept a wreath that he had given him at a festive gathering next month.

He was responding to a video clip that was shared on social media and a rumor that Thaksin ignored him and did n’t take the garland. As Thaksin passed by, Mr. Sutin was seen holding that wreath.

Mr. Sutin later had the opportunity to meet Thaksin in person and presented the former prime minister with the same garland, but he later learned that it was n’t true.

Puangpet Chunlaiad, the PM’s business minister, who is also rumored to remain facing the trim, stated she was also confident that she would be given more time to show her worth.

” I have n’t been told by anyone, especially the PM, about any dismissal,” she said.

In another development, Vice Prime Minister Phumtham Wechayachai refuted rumors that Pheu Thai was trying to oust the Prachachat Party as the House Speaker. He claimed that Pheu Thai does n’t own the position and has no authority to occupy it.

” Besides, House Speaker Wan Muhamad Noor Matha’s outstanding performance is evidently obvious,” said Mr Phumtham.

Mr Wan, however, said the prime minister has the authority to decide on a cabinet reshuffle, but no who serves as residence speech, a location selected by congress and endorsed by His Majesty the King.
