Sutin denies giving jobs to Thaksin's clan
Sutin( kept ): False report

Sutin Klungsang, the defense minister, disputes his plans to name Payap Shinawatra as a deputy director and personal secretary. He is the younger sibling of the ex-primee Thaksin Shinatra and his son Porpong.

On Sunday, there was a rumor going around on social media that Mr. Sutin had appointed his general adviser, private secretary, chief of the defense office, deputy chief, and expert committee. The report included the titles of Mr. Payap, 66, and his boy Porpong, 32, who were Shinawatra clan members.

According to reports, Mr. Payap was chosen to serve as the chief assistant and Mrs. Porpong was named the private secretary to the defense minister. Mr. Payap is a significant member of the Pheu Thai Party, which oversaw the Northeast during the previous election.

Additionally, Lt. Gen. Dechnithit Leung-ngamkham is named as the assistant commander in the report, and Lieutenant General Petcharat Limprasert serves as chief of the Ministry of Defense’s Office. Maj Gen Akarapon Tongsuk and AVM Worachart Fongchon were also reported to be on the upcoming expert commission.

But, Mr. Sutin claimed the report was false in a piece posted on Sunday. He asserted that before the policy declaration is finished in front of parliament, he lacks the authority to appoint someone. He wrote,” The report was made up by ill-wishers.”
