Suriya Juengrungreangkit, the secretary of caregiver transportation, has set a deadline for the completion of three Rama II Road construction projects by the end of June.
On Wednesday, Mr. Suriya reported to the media that there are three continuous design projects on the Highway 35, or Rama II Road, which connects Bangkok to southern provinces.
They are the Rama III-Dao Khanong-Western Outer Ring Expressway job, the Bang Khunthian-Ekkachai street development project, and the Ekkachai-Ban Phaeo road area.
The Expressway Authority of Thailand ( Exat ) is in charge of the Rama III-Dao Khanong-Western Outer Ring Expressway project. It is 80 % finished, and it is scheduled to open in June of next year.
The Thotsamarachan Bridge, which runs opposite to the Rama IX Bridge, is now finished, and it is scheduled to open later this year.
The bridge and adjacent road construction are divided into three building contracts, the first now 70 % complete, the second 89 % complete and the third 76 % complete.
Next, the 8.3-kilometre elevated road project on Highway 35 ( Bang Khunthian-Ekkachai ), supervised by the Department of Highways ( DoH), is scheduled to be completed by November.
The road is split into three sections, with the first now 96 % complete, the second 93 % complete, and the third 96 % complete.
Between Phanthai Norasing and Mahachai charges, a 4-kilometer part of the raised road will be a test beginning. The beginning of this year is anticipated toward the close of the year.
Lastly, Motorway No 82, which runs from Ekkachai to Ban Phaeo and runs for a 16.3 km loop, is scheduled to be finished by June of next year. By 2027, the course will be complete. The minister confirmed that all projects are on track to be finished by June of next year by indicating that the 10 sections of the motorway are progressing from 35 % to 82 % complete.
The government has given Exat and the DoH a quarterly update on the building and abide by strict safety standards to prevent any accidents while the work is being done. The various projects are anticipated to drastically improve vehicle movement and travel convenience on Rama II Road once they are finished.
