Super Typhoon Yagi hits Vietnam after killing two in China

On southwestern China’s Hainan island, the storms struck Vietnam, killing at least two people and injuring 92 people.

According to the state broadcaster CCTV, Yagi caused the removal of around 460, 000 people by attacking trees, causing winds of more than 230kmh, and causing the evacuation of trees.

Hainan’s major airports in Haikou was closed until 3pm on Saturday, according to state broadcaster Video.

Officials in the neighboring province of Guangdong announced on Friday that they had evacuated more than 574, 000 people to health.

Yagi, which was still categorized as a tropical storm, killed at least 13 people in the Philippines before this year, before forming a very storms over the next few weeks.

According to a study released in July, storms are then forming closer to the coast, intensifying more quickly, and staying over land more.
